What are "Pax"?

"Pax" is our fun name for the creative enjoyment packages (paint your own pottery kits and other craft kits) that we supply. They are packed full of fun and packed to the max to help you get creative, hence the name "Pax".

What is the difference between ArtyPax and a pottery cafe?

ArtyPax is the best of pottery cafes without the hassle of short session bookings, studio fees & large minimum group sizes. With us pick and mix any number of kits from 1 & up or any party size from 3 guests & up in our party kit range. We post directly to you & you paint where you like, for as long as you like.

We back the British pottery industry by selecting quality, hand cast, bisque ceramics from the home of the potteries, Stoke-on-Trent, wherever possible.

As well as that our paints are made by the leading manufacturer of highest quality acrylic paints on the market. They’re water based, non-toxic, fully intermixable & true colour quality. Each kit comes with 8 colours. Paint with all the colours of the rainbow!

To top it off, what really sets ArtyPax apart is the fact that all of our kits are kiln free. Paint and go! No kiln firing required. Simply paint your masterpiece, allow to dry & admire your handiwork instantly. Perfect for any & all levels of creativity. Available to everyone aged over 36 months.

This offers you the flexibility and freedom of where, when and what occasion your kits are used for.

We are always coming up with new and exciting ideas to incorporate the creative side of life, as well as adding new ranges and themes, and striving to offer as unique and individual a product as possible.

How green & environmentally friendly is ArtyPax?

We care a lot about our crafty planet here at ArtyPax. Therefore we are committed to leading the crafty & creative industry in minimising the impact of its activities on the environment, which is why our paint your own kits are currently 84%* (approx.) plastic free. Constantly working hard towards achieving our future vision of being 100% plastic free. We use reused outer packaging boxes where we can and 100% of all boxes we use are fully recyclable and reusable. What’s more we also use environmentally friendly Biofil packaging chips inside our boxes too. They’re 100% biodegradable, odourless, dust free, compostable and reusable. Even our promotional material & printed paper items come from FSC approved sources.

Getting creative whilst being green is both our goal and our dream!

Do you have a high street store?

No, we are solely based online. Therefore we do not have expensive high street studios or pottery cafes meaning we can pass the savings directly onto you. It also means that anyone can enjoy our kits & hand painted creations regardless of where you're based in the UK & around the world.

Are there any health benefits?

Yes. It is fun and enjoyable for all ages (over 36 months), abilities, all occasions and purposes and it is extremely good for Art therapy. Art therapy is a proven anti-stress healthy pastime where you can relax, focus and engage. It has many proven health benefits to help relieve stress related headaches, insomnia and anxiety and can also help maintain dexterity. Being creative promotes relaxation and the act of painting can improve your focus and concentration. It’s a time to enjoy, take the focus off the negative and reflect on achieving something with no rules, "Get Creative".

What ages are "Pax" suitable for?

Our "Pax" are suitable for anyone aged over 36 months, with adult supervision recommended for children. Our packaging and paints should not be consumed, they may look nice but we still do not recommend that you eat them - they do not taste very nice, trust us!! Our paints are water based and can be cleaned up with soap and warm water. They are also intermixable, which allows you to experiment and create your own colours, blends and shades. Our paints are also recommended for children over the age of 36 months due to a potential choking hazard.

Do I need a special area to paint?

No, you can paint anywhere. Before you start you may want to put a protective cover over your work surface, flooring and of course yourself, just in case your creative juices overflow!
